Single-family-home permits in August in Lee County were up slightly from a year ago while foreclosures stayed almost the same.
Unincorporated Lee had 85 single-family permits; Cape Coral, 61; Fort Myers, 50; Bonita Springs, 46; and Sanibel, 4.
Builders pulled a total of 246 single-family permits in August, down from 269 in July but up from 238 in August 2013, according to reports from the municipalities in the county that report permits.
